Good morning oppo.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Long story short I am looking at relocating back to Edmonton for a while from Toronto and my old tbird isn't worth shipping or driving across the country again (second time) and a new set of winter tires.

To replace the aging bird who I've dumped a lot of money into recently to keep it on the road I found this

It appears to be a base V6 but the low milage and the manual intrigues me.

Is it slow? Is it unreliable? Remember anything a bit more fun to drive than my tbird would be a bonus.

Other option is a base fusion 4cyl for my girlfriend to drive (she's just getting a license in toronto a license for a young person is quite rare and expensive) and I'll be driving a 2012 fusion sport awd which is a blast (for a dull sedan).

It doesn't matter which engine it's mated to, that CTS will be more fun than any Fusion.

that's true too I really like this thing and I clearly have no objections to driving a "grandpa car" since I already do. This one looks pretty sweet and not having to drive a manual in Toronto traffic jams will be nice to blast down the prairie highways.

Good cruiser for the long prairie miles, not so good for when it starts snowing next month. That being said, the fusion isn't a whole lot better for Edm's partially cleared winter streets.

Inferring a bit from your post, you might want to look at the insurance costs for both as you sound like you might be in the prime category for maximum rates.

good thing to think about for sure. I'm 23 so I'm waiting until I'm 25 for my FoSt I so badly want.

I've been driving since I was 16 and learned to drive on these winter roads but for her first winter I do want something easy to handle. I found her a 3.0 fusion AWD which seems to do well. My moms car is the 3.5 fusion sport AWD which is a winter monster on winter tires. Although it did need 2 replacement rims after all those pot holes!

But that caddy for some reason is so intriguing but it would definitely need winter rims and tires too.

If only I could convince me to let me have their 335's and the factory 5 cobra but I'm afraid those will be parked for a year or so while my parents are gone.

Hey now, the Fusion Sport is sweet. 3.5L V6 had plenty of HP for the job to fling around that thing.

I'm not saying the CTS wouldn't be cooler. Just that the Fusion Sport is on a much higher level than people think.

Not bashing the Fusion; we seriously considered one. But the CTS would still be p awesome :)

OK ok, I am jealous of the Fusion Sports because they get the 3.5. It wasn't available in the Milan. Only the Sport and the Lincoln MKZ (only engine available in the MKZ actually)
